FRIDAY, 1/17 at 6pm -> The Art Of Records combines art, music and tradition to celebrate and honor the rich history and mystique of record cover art, 12″ vinyl and the artists that create it – both musically and graphically. Since its inception in 2012, the exhibit has featured a series of classic 12″ album and single covers re-imagined and recreated by top Denver artists to wow fans of music, art & culture across mediums. The original album covers will also be on display and the concept comes full circle with DJ Low Key & Lazy Eyez playing an all vinyl set of the featured records to start the night and show off at Millers & Rossi (3542 Walnut St). Red Bull Presents Detour’s 5 Pointers – A month-long futuristic and interactive art exhibit and musical journey from internationally renowned Denver artist Detour, aka Thomas Evans. Taking over RedLine Denver, Red Bull Presents Detour’s 5 Pointers will serve as an introduction to an interpretation of the future of music through storytelling elements, live performances from the 5 Pointers – a band of Detour’s musical collaborators brought together to interpret and experiment with what music will sound like in the future — and a gallery of memorabilia that will bridge the gap of time in an experimental exhibition. Throughout the month, Detour and the 5 Pointers band will host multiple performances and artist talks to further create an immersive exhibit that allows the audience to engage in conversation. Join us for the closing night of Red Bull Presents Detour’s 5 Pointers on December 6th, for the final performance from the 5 Pointers.
